I want my bedroom to be a Black and White theme. Right now the only thing in it is my bed, a dressor, a amorar, a craft table, and a Total Gym. At this point the walls are grey with some funky border around the ceiling. I have no head board. Here are some of the ideas I want to do with my room.
I've thought of having this be my headboard..expect turning it sideways, and having black and white family pictures inside each square. If not my headboard then as wall art in my room.
Jeff wants to mount our bedroom tv onto the wall. I like this idea of black and white art around the tv.
I'm leaning towards these curtains. Except I would do sheer panels with black ribbon.
I really love this headboard with high wainscoting and topped with a store-bought shelf
I also like the stripes on the wall. I really want to stick to black or white only..I'll have to think of a different idea.
Realisticly this will probably be my headboard of choice (due to my decorating budget). A piece of plywood. However I would either paint it black or cover it with cool black and white fabric.
Right now the kitchen has 70s flower wall paper on it... not my style. I want to paint the walls an avacado color. And possibly put new kitchen pulls on the cabinets to give them a more updated look. Also there are roosters painted on the tile (anyone have an idea on how to cover those up? ) I saw a cloth shower curtain at Target that would make a cool curtain in the kitchen. Since we are just renting I'm not wanting to put alot of money into the kitchen especially on stuff I can't take with me.
The pre-living room. I'm not sure what else to call this area. It's right when you walk into the front door It's like a square attached to the rectangle living room, except without any dividers. It's been several areas since we've moved here but I'm still not settled. On how to use it. I moved one of my couches and a rug into this area. Jeff wants to make it his office space, but I'm not a big fan of his desk area being on of the first things you see when you enter. I'll probably move the armor from our room into this space. Then we can hide all of the office stuff just by closing the doors. Above the couch I want to frame a map minus the glass so we can poke pins in the areas of all our travels. This room is attached and open to the living room. I'll essential have to do the same thing in both rooms.
The living room is already painted a light tan color (sometimes it looks peachy). My couches are a kachki and the carpet is a neutral color as well. I need some color! My idea is to paint my coffee table red and then add red accents and red curtains. I'm still deciding on a wall decor.
I want to do a few more things to the kids room. This is how I would LOVE to do Ava's room someday.
We are collecting umbrellas from places we go. So far we only have one from Australia. This room design may take a few more years to complete. My house could use some TLC design in a few more areas...but I'm trying to stay concentrated on one project at a time...in theory. I think I might work on the coffee table TODAY and get the curtain fabric picked out for the living room.
And I am unaware of how to edit spelling now that I'm changed into a new format...so read it and weep. I am a horrible speller and now I can't hide behind spell check.

That comment was really long! Sorry - just wanted to say good luck! It is sooo fun to make things. And way more rewarding than just buying the final product in the store!!
I really like the black and white family photos idea. And hiding the office in the armoir. Have fun and post pics as you complete projects.
