Memphis zoo

We went on a Saturday and the place was packed. We tried to watch the polar bears get fed but we couldn't see over the huge mass of people. The closed we got was petting a fake one. Ty didn't seem to mind.
Ty's still talks about petting the snake at the zoo.
It was his FAVORITE part. We had to
do it 2 times.

Granni and Grandad wouldn't join Ty for a dip in the fountains

I'm not sure if this was completely allowed. But there were plently of other kids wading in the fountains...it was a hot day, and Ty gave in to peer pressure:)

They had a neat little petting zoo. Since Ty had riden a horse only weeks before at Lake DeGray, he was prepared to do more then pet this horse. As we approached the horse he desperately trying to climb the fence to jump on his back...and take off into the sunset!

This is me and Ty inside a "ground hogs" tunnel. This was an actually place were the kids could be in exhibit. You had to crawl through tunnels to get to this area...it is at this point I realized I'm not as limber as I used to be.

The Mephis zoo surpassed my expectations right from the start begining with this grant entrance. As you walk in there are beautiful fountains and blaring music that makes you want to dance. I was so overwhelmed with it all...I had no idea what to see first.

As a momma, I am grateful for these gate barracates, if they didn't exsist I have a notion that my fearless son would get a little too cozy with the animals. As you can tell in this picture he wants to get as close as possible.

Can you believe Granni took Ty on a ride...those granparents really know how to SPOIL. Where was that when we were growing up?

When Jeff's parents came up in April and we took a trip to Memphis to go to the zoo. It was the first time any of us had been...it was AWESOME! Especially compared to the Little Rock zoo. We packed of lunch and had a picnic in the park and ended the day with a trip to the RIB CRIB!

Thanks Granni and Grandad we had a great time!
