July 3rd

Grandad teaching Ty some fire safety rules.
Ty was in awe of the sparklers. We bought 36 of them and burned them all in a matter of minutes.

I'm not sure what their offical name is but we called them poppers.
Ty got a kick out of watching granni squirm and dance when "the boys" threw them at her feet.

3 generations of Nelson boys.

FIRE~

Look at that big ol baby..I'm HUGE!

Ty and aunt Val. This is his "sweet boy smile" he thinks he needs to do it for every picture these days.

His face was precious as he watched firworks lite up the sky.

Jeff's parents came to visit and celebrate the holiday on the 3rd. We grilled out and played card games...a great distraction to the fact that I was still pregnant. Since we live outside the city limits we did our own little fireworks display and then watched the more extravagant ones our neighbors were shooting (there was a nightly show days prior to the 4th).

We bought sparklers and poppers for Ty to shoot. I think July 4th might be his new favorite holiday.
