In case you were wondering...

In case you were wondering and can't reach us because I lost my cell phone 3 weeks ago and haven't replaced it yet because I still have high hopes it will be found we are safe and out of harms way from Hurricane Ike. We had to evacuate and it's turning into some fun family time. We drove to my parents house loaded down with Flash, our dog, and other necessities this afternoon. We will hang out here until the hurricane is over. Of course, such an event couldn't happen without Ty asking questions about it. Yesterday over lunch he asked me if the Devil made the hurricane. His memory verse for Bible Class this week is Acts 17:24; God made the whole world AND everything in it. We talked about what that meant and how God has control over everything and some things just happen because that is how the world works together. He thought about this for a moment then says to me, "Mommy so did God make the hurricanes so it can kill all the bad people?" Then I explain to him that bad people get hurt and good people get hurt too. He then looks at me wanting more of an answer...ok I so break out some philosophy on a 4 year old excuse me a 4.5 year old trying to explain to him that bad things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people too....He then begins to laugh, "bad things happen to bad people...that's funny." Man, I really do love his hungry mind!
