DATE NIGHTS

Since Christina and I live close to each other we had planned to use each other for free babysitting on a regular basis. Our intention was that once a week we would go on a date with our hubby while the other watched all the kids. As it goes, every Monday Jeff and I will go out and have a night to ourself and Tuesday nights will be Chris and Corys turn...it was a brillant idea! Last night we FINALLY put the plan into action and Jeff and I went out on the town. We didn't have anything planned and I wanted to do more interacting verses just sitting in front of a movie screen. We went to James Coney Island (I know classy) then went shopping for some winter clothes for the kiddos. We went to party city to look for costume ideas for Halloween (which we decided we will ALL dress up and represent super heros)...Jeff will be captain America, Ava will be wonder women and Ty will get to choose from his surplus of costumes, but I haven't decided what superhero I am going to be.
While we were shopping we ran into these guys...

Jeff and I couldn't stop laughing as we tried on different political figure faces. I felt like I was 12 years olds. We ended the date with a car wash...not the kind you drive through, we both got out and washed off the car. It really was GREAT fun. Our rule is that we are only allowed to talk about the kids when we are in the car.
On that marriage note...we attened a marriage enrichment seminar by Joe Beam this weekend called LOVE, SEX and MARRIAGE. If he is ever in your area I would HIGHLY reccomend it. It was entertaining and informational.
