These past 3 days have been a marathon! Friday I went through both kids closets and organized, organized, and more organizing. I boxed up all of the clothes that didn’t fit, to pass onto littler cousins. (it always makes me sad to do this…especially with Ava, this was my first time to do it with her clothes). I cleaned the house and washed every speck of laundry and I FINALLY finished Ava’s nursery. ***You should know that Ty and Ava were at their grandparents house on Friday***
Saturday we were up early. Ty and Jeff went fishing, then we all met up for Ty’s soccer game. We ate lunch at Cheddars with Jeff parents…YUMMY! Then we headed home and I sat and held my sick baby Ava the rest of the night.
Sunday we all skipped out on church in an attempt to not “infect” anyone else with the rampant stomach virus. I wanted to try out a new look and “cut bangs” and I winded up getting cocky thinking I knew how to cut hair. I winded up cutting off alot more of my hair then I intended and I had to have Jeff helped with the parts in the back. As long as I curl it doesn’t look so choppy…oh the things I do to save a buck. After my hair incident Ty and I went to run errands and left Jeff and Ava watching football. I got a serious amount of things done this afternoon. I did the grocery shopping and shopped for winter clothes for Ty. I LOVE shopping for my kids. He is now set for the winter weather…bring it on!
Tonight I cooked a homemade meal from scratch and made fruit smoothies for dessert (and now my kitchen looks like a tornado came through). But the best part is that I made some banana bread from my deceptively delicious cookout. I put a whole cup of cauliflower puree (which is about 2/3 of a whole head of cauliflower) to the mix and it tastes delicious (you can’t even tell its loaded with veggie goodness). I must be getting OLD…healthy food and recipes should not be so exciting. But seriously I am PUMPED about it!!
