Die hard soccer fan..eating a victory lunch

the team getting their pre game pep talk...which consists of kick the ball to THAT goal

Ava is quite the catch. All of Ty's little friends (especially the girls) love to take turns holding her. The sweet part is that at random during their play they will stop and come over to "talk" to her. Here is superman Ty and Levi entertaining the little tyke

She liked it at 1st then...but then the screaming began

Ty is using the hose to the vacuum and pretending to be a fire fighter

Ava is starting to grab for things then pull them into her mouth. The giraffe is one of her favorites to chew on (which just so happened to be Ty's favorite baby chew toy). Also this week she has started to blow. It's pretty cute how she does it. She perks her lips out like she's going to give a kiss then she just blow and makes spit bubbles.

Here is Ty combinding his 2 favorite things..doing puzzles and dressing up.
This was the 1st time he put this puzzle together. It has 48 pieces but he can do it all by himself. He used Ava as a prop to hold the box so he could look at the picture and work. Ava is quite content to watch Ty as he does puzzles.

I have a feeling these 2 will be like 2 peas in a pod.

Ty running through the victory bridge made by the parents after his soccer game. This and getting snack are his favorite part of soccer.

It's impossible to get him to take a a good picture...he has so much silliness

He told me he had "resuced" Ava, from what I am not sure. ...go spiderman

Seriously he LOVES to do puzzles. It's worked itself into the bedtime routine. It's his incentive to get ready for bed quickly, so he can do one last puzzle befoe he goes to sleep.

Look at her HUGE feet!!

the pumpkin outfit I made for her

Seriously where does the time go? The past few weeks have been flying by. It seems like we’ve been busy every single day and at the end of the day I’m just too exhausted to even post! Imagine that!
My sweet son Ty now has many aliases on any given day. Typically he is either fire guy, superman, spiderman, or batman. Seriously he wears his costumes all day long, and if we run errands and go to the store I just let him wear them…you should see some of the looks we get. I love this pretending stage, it’s so fun to see him and him buddies be superheroes and pretend to rescue the girls. When his buddies aren’t around then Ava and I need to be rescued. I’ve been letting him pick up Ava and carry her short distances…he gets a kick out of bragging how strong he is. He is such a GREAT big brother and its so sweet to see him doing things for her without even being asked…like giving her the passy (I even noticed him holding it in her mouth until she gets a good suction), he talks to her when I’m getting ready, and is constantly getting more diapers and supplies from upstairs. There has been no jealousy or wave in his flow, he loves her. I feel like more then ever I have to say to him…just a second, wait a minute, or not right now all on account of Ava. He is patience is incredible and for all his sweetness I wanted to have some time where he go all of my attention like it used to be pre Ava. I planned a fun day of swimming at the YMCA . I told him that just him and I were going to go swimming just like we used to and when I told him Ava wasn’t coming he wasn’t upset be he wanted her to come to. We dropped her off at the YMCA daycare and headed to the pool. We had the huge pool to ourselves and we were having a blast than after about 30 minutes (we used to swim for at least 2 hours) he said he was ready to go and get Ava. I think it is sweet he wants her around. Tonight I almost started crying when I turned around and saw him…Ava’s been wanting to eat every 2-2.5 hours the past few days. It’s been driving me crazy, she’s usually goes 4-5 hours between day feedings. I increased the amount of milk by 2 oz and she still seems to constantly be hungry. So tonight I thought I would try giving her some rice cereal. She did great at first and seemed to enjoy it but then all of a sudden it all headed south and she was screaming. She had rice cereal all over her face and then everywhere as she was flaring her arms in anger. I got up to get something and when I turned around Ty had a burp cloth in his hand and he was gently wiping cereal off of her face. Talk about a tear jerker..ok maybe just for me but I love seeing him being so loving with her. I know there will come a day when I sure he thinks she’s a pest but as for now it just makes my heart smile.
I think Ava is suffering from out constant busyness. Not that she’s lacking in her gross motor skill, b/c she’s starting to roll from side to side and she’s gone all the way over while on out bed. But I feel I need to give her more of a chance to build on those muscles instead of being strapped into a car seat, stroller, or being cradled in my sling. I’m sure she won’t be walking at 8.5 months like Ty. But then again I guess that’s the fate of a 2nd child. On second thought….I feel like with Ty we were so excited and anxious for him to hit the next skill and he didn’t stay a “baby” very long. So I shall not worry about pushing her to the next “skill” she’ll grow up fast enough on her own, she’s already 3 months.
