LIFE

So I haven't had any pictures posted in my last few entries because my son and digital camera are both in Texas. After our 2 week detour I left my Ty with granni and came back to finish up work, school and start packing. Jeff joined me this weekend and we are living it up without a kid. When I say "living it up" I mean, we've gotten to go on a few dates without Ty. I do miss the little guy and 3 weeks without him is going to be tough (and the longest stretch I've ever gone childless). But at the same time, it's been fun hanging out with Jeff and going on dates, I fell like a teenager again. We went to a coffee house here in town on Saturday. We listened to music sipped on our coffee and attempted to play the game of LIFE (the actually Milton Bradley game). I was bummed because there were a ton of pieces missing and the game was a flop! Instead we went to the store and bought our own game. Now we are addicted we play it all the time! Every night before bed and then just at random during the day. It's fun and its definitely something we couldn't do with the little tike around. So here's to grandparents and free babysitting and the many more dates we will enjoy when we move to TEXAS!

Yesterday couldn't have been more perfect so I feel the need to blog about it. We went to early service church yesterday and when we got there the electricity was out. Come to find out later someone had knock over an electric power line while moving their house (only in Arkansas).
The service was such a blessing as we sang, prayed and listed to the sermon in candle light. The preacher had just enough light from the windows to read his notes. The atmosphere was so peaceful the morning air was crisp and beautiful. We had a great discussion in our bible class as we all sat in a circle outside. It was a memory to cherish and the perfect way to end our last Sunday at Highway CofC. Jeff and I went out for brunch at IHOP then I layed down for a restful 5 hour nap. For small group that evening we had a bonfire at a couples house who lives in the country. We roasted hot dogs and made smores. The stars were out and we all sat by the fire for 2 hours talking and laughing.. it was PERFECT!

Oh roomie, that's so perfect it gives me tears in my eyes. In honor of your last blog I got out the scrapbook of our freshman year - oh, what fun we had at our first taste of independence. We sure did have a great time. I long for those kinds of friendships again. Maybe it was because we didn't have kids to care for or maybe it was living with 300 other Christian girls our same age. I don't know, but it was wonderful!

GASP!!! APRIL! I was in Little Rock the day you flew back to LR. I was in Houston when you walked in the front door. It was neccesary though. The universe would have been out of flux if we would have been in the same spot at the same time. It's ok. Nice Park Avenue by the way!

potter I almost forgot you had a blog. I stopped checking it about 2 months ago when you hadn't updated it in 4 months. MAN I thought Jenn and Jaime were bad. You are a disgrace to the blog world. I checked it out again...6 months and no update, they should kick you out..who ever they are. Take care of my boy for me.
