First, Ty caught a baby frog which has made for alot of excitement, so far it has transferred into 3 different man made shelters:)
Jeff and I are just hoping it makes it through the night. Ty is treating it like a little kitty or dog carrying it around and holding it.
Second, it has been raining like crazy which means the sky is overcast and it's cool outside. While Jeff was taking care of my "car issues" the kids and I took a wonderfully restful nap to the sound of rain on the window. I slept like a rock for a solid 1.5 hours (Sleep doesn't come easy for me these days) the best part is that I woke up refreshed.
All the rain flooded the street in front of our house, Jeff took the kids outside to play in the rain puddles, Ava was actually more into it then Ty although she did mention it was too cold a time or two.
Honestly I've been doing laundry on and off all day watching the kids play. Jeff is currently napping (it's 6pm). Right now they are playing in the bathtub going on an hour and half and loving every minute of it (which gives me a time to blog). There are in my bathroom connected to my room soaking in big tub just laughing away. The best part about this whole set up is that I can be on my bed typing and hear all their little giggles. Seriously nothing brings me more joy then hearing the two of them laugh and giggle together. Earlier Ty was teaching her to count to 57 (she was repeating him). Then he decided to stop because they had been "working on it for two hours." That was shortly followed by the body paint episode where Ty painted himself and Ava with water colors and then I heard "mom I stuck my band aid in Ava's bottom." And currently they are singing songs at the top of their lungs splashing water around...these are THE days!
Tonight I will top off the evening with laundry, a movie, and finishing Ty's birthday cake for his party tomorrow.

Wow! That's a lot of flooding! Looks like the kids (and Jeff) had some fun :o).
I remember my 1st experience catching baby frogs. I caught 5 in my hand and held them real tight. Let me emphasize real tight. :o) They were a white mush in my little hand. Really grosses me out now. lol
Wow, that is a lot of water! I love how you capture your kids' childhood moments.
