The kids were great little travelors
Jenn and Christinas family left a day eariler then the rest of us and missed out on the BIG Texan
If you took the challenge and ate ALL of this food (that is a 72oz stake) you would get a free meal (and belly ache)...but you had it do it within 1 hour or else you had to pay 70 something dollars. We did NOT take on the challenge.
The fam at the Big Texan. We stoped in Amarillo on the way back to Texas and ate here.

Our cabin was perfect for our big family gathering. It had 5 rooms so each family had their own space. Plus there was a LARGE kitchen and living area.
Ava and I chilling out on the hamock...so relaxing!
After we rode horses Ty got to ride one around the ranch (he was too young to go on the trail). They had just gotten a new horse and let Ty climb into the horse corel and name it..he named it FLASH.
At the Springs. It had 16 different hot tubs with varying degrees of 89-113 of natural spring. It was a blast and stayed open until 12:30am.
This was a birdeye view of the camp ground we stayed at...our cabin is the one to the far left
Ty and Brooklyn ready to go to the Springs.
The biggest trout Jeff caught. He was so proud!
We went on a 2 hour trail ride through the mountain. Jeff, Doug, Chelsea, and Me.Our guide was a 13 year old boy...he was great and at one point let us run free with our horses. Although Jeff and Doug pretty much did it the whole time.
Jeff horseback riding not wanting to get his feet wet
We hiked up to a beautiful waterfall
Ty was in his element hiking and climbing and for portion of it running up the trail
Riding on Daddy's back..and not mine:)
Freedom. On the way down the hike we let her out of the backpack to hike the trail herself.
Ava looks a little put out at the pictures I keep taking.
The snow fight took an evil turn when both children had had ENOUGH
Ty and Levi eating up the smores...except Ty apparently does not like marshmellows.

hanging out with grandma

We had to hike a little ways to get to the snow, Ava loved being on Daddy shoulders.

How cute is he? He loved the snow at first..until his little fingers got to cold, then it was ALL down hill.
We drove to Wolf Creek Pass one afternoon. We took pictures in the snow and had a snow ball fight.
The whole family went fishing one day. Ava was content (at this moment) in the backpack while we fished. Ty only hooked her once...thankfully it was only in the hat.
Saying Jeff liked to fish would be an understatement. That boy spent ALOT of time fishing.
Ty fishing sporting his new digs Jeff brought from England. It was an official jersey
of the England soccer team. Ty pretty much wore it all week. It had shorts (he's not wearing) and clets. We was a REAL soccer player wearing it:)
We had home church on Sunday. My mom even prepared a bible class lesson for the kids. It was special doing this with the whole family...we did it alot as children when we traveled. Both my parents both emotional about it..and I did as well, surprised?
The view from the front porch of the cabin we stayed in.
My brother Doug and his wife Chelsea
All the McCarty grandkids!
Jeff had just come back to the states from his trip to the UK. We met up with him in Colorado. Ty got to stay up late to see him daddy. He was so excited. Ava on the other hand wouldn't wake up.

Oh, I love Colorado in the summertime! What an AWESOME trip!
I had written a LONG comment and I accidentally pushed a button that deleted it all.
Short version - I have always wondered about those Texas steaks. I have seen ads but never a true pic - thanks for posting.
And when I was looking at this the other night I saw the "Gerrard" soccer jersey on Ty. I got excited b/c Ryan LOVES English soccer - Liverpool mainly. He would hate Jeff's Chelsea jersey! lol We are planning an England trip for Christmas with another couple - we will be going to a soccer game, too. I am nervous though b/c I hear England is sooo expensive!!
