little ol' man...

This morning over breakfast I overheard an older gentleman talking to the breakfast staff at the hotel, I couldn’t help but smile. He was a talker and telling all about the “injuries” he had received and giving a brief layout of his upcoming procedures to get his arm checked out with a sonogram. The ironic part is that the man said he was the yo-yo world champion and did motivation speaking. As it turns out he was dining near our table so Jeff and I stuck up a conversation with him. I thought it was ironic that we ran into him. He has been doing his gig for almost 40 years, he said he performed for almost every kind of group, NFL teams to church functions, his only exception was NOT to go bars and nightclubs. He let Jeff play with some of his classic yo-yos and Jeff gave him one of the extras that serve as a staple in his show. The two of them were doing tricks and playing with yo-yo for about 15 minutes in the middle of the breakfast room. He was a vibrant 64 year old man, which I am guessing you have to be in to survive in entertainment for 40 years. It was an ironic blessing to see him…I would have believed that was an angel (except he gave Jeff his business card….and then we googled him!)

So by the way we are in San Antonio for 2 two with Jeff. Amazingly he didn’t have any shows today so we got to spend the day together exploring the city…any guesses as to what we did?

I have several posts stored in my head that need to be typed out…more to come.
Here’s some random pictures from the past week to those of you going through withdrawl…

Cute pics! Just thought I would let you know that any little boy Brooklyn sees on TV or in the store, magazine, etc...is named Ty according to her. She starts saying mommma it's Ty. Then I show her a picture of Ty to remind her! :)
