ON TOUR
We are alive and kicking in Baton Rouge. We had a GREAT visit in Searcy seeing old friends and reminiscing about the past days. It was quite a shock to walk into church on Sunday morning and see ALL of the babies. We lost touch with a lot of couples and so it was a FUN surprise to meet new additions to their families. Ava’s baby bible class was so full there wasn’t enough seats for her to go to class. Everyone was surprised at how big Ty had gotten and then there was the repeating comment of how much Ava looks like Ty. It had been a year and a half since we left and while there were a lot of changes things still seemed the same. Friday I took the kids to see my old co-workers and got to see some of the special needs kids I used to work while. They were sleeping when I peeked in on them. I teared up when I saw how tall and grown up one of my “favorites” had gotten. Saturday I hit up some of my local favorite hot spots…like Dynamite donuts and the rialto dollar movie (which had gone up to $2). Jeff and I got off to a late start Sunday (which I apologize AGAIN for) so we didn’t get into Baton Rouge until midnight. The kids BOTH woke up and decided to party until 2am, which I allowed to happen since they had been in the car for 8 hours. We hit the jackpot with the hotel. It’s a two bedroom and two bathroom suite with a living and kitchen area, plenty of space to spread out and settle down in for 2 weeks. We woke up early this morning so eat a yummy and very filling breakfast (THAT I DIDN’T HAVE TO COOK) and right now Ty is playing in the bath water while Ava bangs on her reflection in the closet door mirrors. I have a feeling they will both crash in a couple of hours. I’m so looking forward to these next two weeks and getting to spend so much family time together with Jeff in addition there will be…no schedules, no to do list, no cleaning, and little cooking Life is GOOD!

Gotta love those business trips!!! I have a friend who can't imagine traveling with her husband. She just can't understand what she'd do with the kids...my response - whatever you want because you don't have to cook or clean! Woohoo!
And $2! What are they thinking? Hello...dollar theatre.
