Ty's GUYS: Walk for a cure

Dear Friends-
My family and I will be walking on November 6, to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). We will be walking to raise funding for research and a CURE in honor of our son Ty, who at 5 years old was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes earlier this year. The walk is a 5K (about 3 miles) and will take place at Houston's Reliant Park. There is no age requirement for walkers. Check in time is at 7:30am and the walk starts at 9am. It is estimate there will be about 10,000 people at the walk. We will have a meeting place for Ty's Guys team so we can all walk together. Donations to Ty's teams are always welcomed but the ONLY cost to walk with Ty's Guys is the price of a team T-shirt which is $12.

For our family, the goal in walking is to raise $1,000 for JDRF but more importantly we are doing this walk to make Ty feel special by surrounding and supporting him with lots of "GUYS" during the walk (and his diabetes walk through life).

If you are interested in joining our team or making a donation you can register at http://walk.jdrf.org/ under the team name "Ty's guys" in Houston, Texas.
Every little bit will help!
