Easter Sunday

Easter this year was on a budget. Not that we ever go all out and the whole nine yards but this year especially was low key. Ideally I would have loved to get the girls froo-froo matching dressing and have our whole family coordinate in color. Instead I bought Ava's dress at a resale shop (Once Upon a Child) for $3.50 and Ty's shirt at the same place for the same price. Ali wore Ava's old dress from her 1st Easter (which is my favorite baby dress) and Jeff and I just wore some dudes from our closet. The Easter Bunny was on a budget as well but the kids seemed excited and pleased with their cotton candy and goggles.
This morning we did a quick photo shoot on our couch making us late for Bible Class, but as it turns out there was no Bible class this morning...so I got to do a LONG photo opt with the kids. Have I ever mentioned I LOVE taking pictures. My Ty man is getting good at taking pictures as well and took some of Jeff and I...with a little cropping and centering they come out great!

Our family shot.

During church service, we winded up taking all the kids to the nursery/children's church and Jeff and I sat alone together in a pew...it was peaceful. Since it's been muggy and rainy here, we had the church Easter egg hunt in our church gym. It was crazy crowed, but the kids don't care as long as they got candy. They had all the families circle around the egg the said ,"GO!" Ty took off and I didn't seem him until his bucket was full. Ava stayed close by but wouldn't pick up any egg because, "they aren't mine" so after a little coaxed and informing her she could keep the candy in each egg she was persuaded to get to work. Ali just said at our feet shaking her eggs. Story behind Ava beach bucket/Easter basket. I let the kids pick out their own Easter basket this year. At first Ava wanted a cute little one with eggs and such decorated on it, but as we continued our shopping she saw a beach bucket with an attached shovel...and the bucket with the shovel was her new vote. Happy Easter everyone! He has RISEN!

Notice anything missing? He lost his top 2 teeth last week. I love toothless smiles!

He was "fake burping" and grossing me out.

Ali wasn't in the "mood" to be put down

This one only a 1/4 of the gym.

Enjoy your Sunday afternoon naps..we sure did!
