chillaxing

Ok. We don't don't have to go in ;apolgizing for lack of blogging every time but for my three friends out there that read this. I'm sorry for the lack of my presence in blogger land. I'm back but for this week/day only. My current situation is that my laptop is broken/crashed I'm not quite sure. I'm not going to admit complete defet with my laptop becomes that means once again I have lost HUNDREDS of pictures and the thought of that makes my cry non-stop. The "I told you so" game is what Jeff is playing. Reminding me constantly that I need to back up my pictures. I really should listen to that boy more. For now I've just put it aside and am patiently waiting until the holidays when Jeff has some time off of work  on it. Then there's the issue of my camera that with a warrenty will cost around $300 to fix. Yeah folks with one income family does not have that kind of money to spend on me.  I'll have to save up Christmas and birthday money for my camera fund. But the thought of going through Ali's first Christmas without any pictures is a little emoitional for me...Jenn you might be the only one who truely understands my need to document this event, I think you are the only person I know who takes more pictures then I do. I'll have to bust out my nice/but old 35mm.  My only complaint it that I would takes hundreds of pictures on a days event/special outing and go through and edit and keep the good ones. Without a digital camera who knows if I will take a good shot, I won't get to do it over, I'll have to wait the 3-5 days to sent the film and pick it up...I'm toally BUMMED. I only personally own 4 expensive items, my laptop (broken) my camera (broken) and my GPS  all of which Jeff got me, oh and my sewing machine my mom got me for my college graduation present, and my wedding rings, but I'm pretty sure those are the only things I personally have as mine that cost over $100 dollars. Even the car I drive was free to me by my granmother and I love that old  white stallion with red velevet interrior seats. OK I've gotten off on a tangent... I think this paragraph was supposed to be reasons why I haven't blogged in a while, sorry. Another reason is that we don't have internet at our house anymore. We were doing a MiFii with Sprint which winded up (we learned the hard way) being more expensive then getting internet through a tv service. Lesson learned was there was was NOT unlimited interent minutes with the MiiFii and leaving the interent on to listen to my songs on "playlist" turned out to be very costly price, which we are now paying for. We cancelled our interent service and now are waiting a couple of months to make-up the money lost. Live and learn right. I just had it when the learning turnsout to be such an inconvience. But momma didn't raise no prissy girl so I either go without or haul my hurd to the library to communicate with the cyber world.

After a long drawn out excuse, the reason I am writting is because I'm sitting in hotel in Michigan watching snow fall outside my window (actually watch snow fall outside my window last week in Texas as well) . I tagged along with Jeff' on his business trip this week. My kids are getting spoiled my Jeff's mom while I am getting spoiled with some alone time and some Jeff time. I brought my sewing machine and plan to sew all week making Christmas stocking, matching Christmas PJs for the kids, and a slew of DIY Christmas gifts.
THIS is my idea relaxing vacation.  To be creative. I love searching craft blogs and finding things to do and make. I had a little to much Sunkist (the smallest amount of caffeine intake gets my mind running for hours) and stayed up until 3am last night just search ideas.  Here are a few things I want to make for Christmas I'll only post the stuff I'm doing for my kids so I don't spoil any surprises. They are all super quick (that was a requirement, I already have alot of sewing on my to do list this week...the stocking alone with take a few days)
Here are a few things I want to make for Ali-

Jeff will be here any minute which means I need to run to the fabric store so I can start on the rest of my projects.
oh and I was thinking what my least favorite subject in school was. I really liked Science, Art, Math, History but I HATE english having to use correct grammer, puncuation and spelling, I never made an effort to learn it can you tell?

I'll be chillating.

You made a great post out a stinky situation (the camera and computer, that is). As for the business trip vacation....Woohoo! Hope you find a way to get back to blogland.
