Great Wolf Lodge

We had a great weekend this past weekend at Great Wolf Lodge, in Grapevine. We said it was a combined birthday party for my parents but all in all it was just an excuse to get together. My half fish half boy child LOVED every minute of our time there. He ran so ragged on Saturday that he got sick in the middle of the night. I just so happened to be awake and from his bed in the hotel room he says, "Mommy can you bring me a trash can I need to throw up." He did the deed a couple of times, said he felt better and then went back to sleep. The next day I made sure he drank plenty of water and ate some food.
Some of my extented family was there and they were more then happy to hold Miss Ali while the rest of us rode the water slides and swam in the pools. Ava was on the fence about the whole weekend. She was fighting of a cold, so running her ragged only brought on extreme fussiness and crying. She took naps both days right in the middle of the waterpark. When she woke up she was revived and ready to play again. She was not a big fan of the body slide (mini kid one) but did love the toddler area.
The water was a bit too chilly for a girl who likes her baths to be more like hot tubs, but she did have a good time. Ali only got to touch the water once, I let her stand in edge and her eyes got really big..I'm guessing because of the cold water.
I did take many pictures at the pool or waterslides...I didn't want to ruin my camera, water was everywhere. It was a great weekend!
